Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach (called SIMB for short) is part of an international service organization founded by women in business nearly 100 years ago. We belong to Camino Real Region which covers the area from Santa Barbara to Long Beach and to Pasadena with 22 other clubs serving their communities.
Please refer to the “Projects” tab here on the website to find out more. You may find that your time and interests allow you to help plan and execute career mentoring for high school girls, help interview and select women to receive cash grants for education, or assist in preparing sanitary hygiene supplies for teens so they can remain in school. We look forward to having you join us in service.
MEMBERSHIP EXPECTATIONS
1) Attend as many club meetings as possible.
2) Serve on at least one committee and participate in service projects and fundraising events. Each year the club may vote to make participation in a fundraiser mandatory, requiring us to purchase one or more tickets.
3) Pay annual dues and charges for meals that you attend when invoiced by the club.
4) Adhere to the club Bylaws.
5) Attend Camino Real Region conferences when you are able.
