Breast Cancer Comfort Bags
At our club, we understand the challenges that women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer face, both physically and emotionally. It's a time of great strength and resilience, but also of pain and fear. That's why we've created a special initiative to support these women during their recovery journey.
With the assistance of grants and generous donations, our club has filled beautiful tote bags with carefully selected contents designed to provide both physical comfort and spiritual support. These tote bags, given by other women who understand and empathize with their journey, can make a significant positive impact on the spirit and comfort of those undergoing chemotherapy.
Inside these tote bags, recipients will find items that offer physical relief, such as cozy blankets, soft socks, and soothing skincare products. But we've also included items to uplift the spirit and provide emotional support, such as inspirational books, journals, and thoughtful notes of encouragement.
By coming together as a community to support these women, we hope to provide a ray of light during what can be a challenging time. It's our way of showing solidarity and letting them know that they are not alone in their journey towards recovery.

Dream It, Be It
Dream It, Be It is proud to join forces with Soroptimist’s esteemed program, Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women (formerly known as the Women’s Opportunity Awards). Together, these initiatives form the Soroptimist Dream Programs, dedicated to ensuring that women and girls around the world have the support and resources necessary to achieve their full potential and realize their dreams.
Partnership Projects
At Soroptimist International of Manhattan Beach, our projects are dynamic and ever-evolving, driven by the passion and dedication of our members as well as the needs of our community. Whether through partnerships with external organizations or through the initiative of individual members or groups, our projects are designed to make a meaningful impact on the lives of women and girls in the South Bay area.
We believe in the power of collaboration, and we actively seek out partnerships with like-minded organizations to amplify our impact and reach even more individuals in need. These partnerships allow us to leverage resources, expertise, and networks to address the diverse challenges faced by women and girls in our community.
At the same time, many of our projects are born out of the passions and interests of our members. Each member brings their unique skills, experiences, and ideas to the table, leading to a diverse range of projects that reflect the interests and priorities of our membership.
As our club continues to grow and evolve, so too do our projects. We remain committed to staying responsive to the changing needs of our community and to continually seeking out new opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of women and girls.
